Sweet Basil

Country of Origin: India

Basil is a hardy annual plant most well known for it's use in cuisines around the world (most notably Italian and Thai). It has been cultivated for thousands of years in India and the Mediterranean. Sweet Basil has a sweet anise-like scent with a slightly woody finish. It's scent pairs well with citrus and spice like cinnamon and clove and is a top note.

Our Basil essential oil is made from the leaves of the plant and processed via steam distillation. 

For external use only. Dilute well before use (minimum ratio of 10-1 in carrier oil). May cause skin irritation in some individuals. A skin test is recommended prior to use. Do not get in eyes.
